While the chef, in the exposed kitchen, places pots of succulently fragrant foods on the burners, it’s Rocco, the owner, who gives the trattoria its unique touch: a Tuscan folk song at one table, a hearty laugh at another, pouring a glass of wine at yet another. All while laughing happily and curling his white moustache.

That’s how we Florentine’s are: passionate about our work and about people, we always make them feel at home.

So if you’re at the market, it will be difficult not to stop by Rocco’s: “Sit wherever you like.” An atmosphere as casual as the food is delicious and affordable: a complete lunch, quick if necessary, and definitely traditional and inexpensive. On a daily basis the menu borrows from Florentine tradition: tripe, ribollita, pappa al pomodoro, minestrones, and even Rocco’s famous “Pasta Carrettiera”, with various meat dishes like T-bone steak, roast beef, and stew with potatoes to name just a few. Authentic, simple, and delicious dishes, like going to a Florentine’s home and eating at their table!
