At CI.BIO the philosophy of quality groceries extends to the meat department as well according to the criteria that “What we eat must be good for both our body and spirit”, as well as good for the environment through sustainable farming practices. The CI.BIO Butcher Shop sells, for example, pork from pigs that have been wild-raised in the Casentino for two full years (rather than the usual eight months) and chickens raised in 180 days (instead of the usual 30-35).

Italian meat from breeders in Tuscany and throughout Italy that are sincerely working to fight the demonic precept of “what you don’t know, won’t hurt you” when it comes to consumption. CI.BIO rejects all of this and, at its butcher counter, carefully arranges a meticulous selection of meat from the Mugello region, organic Chianina beef, and outstanding Fassone Piemontese which is sold only when it has aged sufficiently. Plus wild pig from Casentina, with which sausages are also made, eggs, ready-to-cook meats, and culinary products prepared directly by CI.BIO.
