This explosive corner of colours and compositions offers an abundance of delicacies, while Maddalena and Ilaria welcome customers with their contagious enthusiasm.

In addition to its highly popular, wood oven baked, naturally leavened, whole-wheat rye bread and its low-carb, buckwheat, and ancient grain breads, Panrocco’s strength is truffles: on display or hidden behind the counter, the shop is a reference point for those who are looking for fresh white or black truffles, truffle cheese, truffle honey, and truffle oil, salt, lard, or butter!

But there’s much more: the salamis of Viani di San Gimignano and the cheese section with aged and fresh pecorino cheeses, ricotta, and buffalo and cow’s milk mozzarella. There’s an outstanding house-made pastry section which changes daily depending on inspiration and the season: from the raisin schiacciata to the English trifle, from fruit tarts to castagnaccio, and even high quality pastries with dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts, traditional or pistachio.

The secret is to get Maddalena and Ilaria’s advice: they’ll happily and passionately show you every single product in extensive detail…making your mouth water.
